Non-Vascular Procedures
Biopsy: Is the taking of a tissue sample from the area of interest for pathological examination.
Drain Insertions: Is a placement of tubes into different parts of the body to drain fluids (e.g., abscess drains to remove pus, pleural drains).
Fine Needle Biopsy (FNB) and Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA): Used to evaluate tissue, and fluid for abnormal cells, disease, cancer or infection.
Paracentesis: Is a procedure involving placing a small needle into the abdomen to drain fluid.
Thoracentesis: Is a procedure involving placing a needle into the chest cavity to drain fluid.
Vertebroplasty: Is a percutaneous injection of biocompatible bone cement inside fractured vertebra.
